Favourite beach: Porthgwarra Cove – Porthgwarra beach has many childhood memories for me, most days spent on the beach with family and friends.
Favourite activity: Exploring where I live with my dogs, getting out in any weather, we don’t realise sometimes how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place.
Favourite attraction: The Minack Theatre – I love watching performances at the outdoor theatre at The Minack, to have the sea as a background is just spectacular.
Favourite garden: Trewidden House and Gardens – Trewidden is so pretty and has lots of locally grown plants to purchase, it's great for an afternoon wander and a cup of tea.
Favourite walk: Mousehole to Lamorna Cove – It's stunning when the sun is shining with weather-beaten cliffs, rural views and a pub - Lamorna Wink at the end for a thirst clenching beverage!
Favourite event: Lafrowda – Lafrowda is a real community event, all the schools and local businesses get involved, the community really comes together.
Favourite sunset spot: Sennen Cove, is a great spot to watch the sun go down especially from the beach on a summer evening with a BBQ.
Favourite storm watching spot: Sennen Cove again but this time from inside the pub, fire roaring and a G&T in hand.
Favourite pub: Logan Rock Inn – My first job was here at the Logan Rock Inn. Its a really traditional Cornish pub with locals and visitors. Always has a welcoming atmosphere and a roaring fire in the winter months. They also do a very good Sunday Roast.
Favourite restaurant: The Longstore, Charlestown Harbour – (this one is a little further afield) A good friend of mine works here at the Longstore and I just love the food, atmosphere and service.
Favourite pasty stop: Mcfaddens, St Just – Mcfaddens Pasties and homemade scotch eggs are one of the best in Cornwall. They are also a really good family-run butchers.
Favourite spot for a cream tea: Porthgwarra Cove Café – Of course! Our cream teas are so so good! Big pot of Cornish clotted cream, fresh scones and local jam
Favourite shop: This one is pretty hard as so many to choose from but The Painted Bird in St Ives is a cute little shop. Great for small home furnishings and gifts
Favourite drink: Gin and Tonic – Tarquin's Cornish Dry Gin is my favourite served with Elderflower Fever-Tree tonic, ice and lime.
Favourite local producer / market: Sennen Farmer's Market – is on weekly and is supported by local stallholders and small businesses. You can purchase locally made bread, cakes, and jam as well as homemade gifts and artwork. Very communal and attracts lots of visitors.
